One primary mission of Visual Supply Company (aka VSCO) —makers of digital film emulation presets and camera profiles — is to preserve the look of analog film in the digital age. Today, the company released a brand new pack, VSCO Film 07 — Eclectic Films.
The company’s largest release so far, VSCO Film 07 offers 18 films and over 100 presets. Eclectic Films is designed to be elegant and modern, but its main distinguishing characteristic is that it’s clean — less gritty and grainy than the company’s other film packs. These filters are recommended for portraits, night shots and architectural work.
This pack is available for Adobe Lightroom CC, 6, 5 and 4 and Adobe Camera Raw. VSCO Film 07 for ACR requires Photoshop CC or CS6. VSCO Film 07 works best with Raw files, but the company notes that the quality of JPEG processing has improved from previous versions of Lightroom.
The pack features a mix of six Agfa, eight Kodak, two Fuji and an Ilford in color, black & white and night tungsten.
It also includes custom camera profiles for Canon T6i (EOS 750D), Canon T6s (EOS 760D), Fuji X-A2, Fuji X-Q2, Nikon D5500, Nikon D7200, Olympus M5 MKii (OM-D E-M5MKii) and Sony A7M2 (ILCE-7M2).
The pack is available today at a discount through June 16. First time buyers get 25 percent off the normal price ($89.25) while existing customers get 50 percent off ($59.50).
