With less than 36 hours until Apple takes to its Cupertino stage and showcases its next-generation iPhone devices, Vodafone Germany has seemingly jumped the gun and started to add options to some of its iPhone accessory pages, detailing new iPhone 4S models and a new 8GB iPhone 4.
Numerous reports have suggested that Apple will not debut the long-awaited teardrop-shaped iPhone 5 in October, instead unveiling a low-cost iPhone 4 model and new iPhone 4S models, available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variations. The exact same models are listed on Vodafone Germany’s iPhone 4 bumper pages, with a dropdown noting the various models, in both black and white.
The iPhone 4 bumpers are said to be compatible with the iPhone 4S, reaffirming suggestions that the new iPhone will boast the same chassis and design as the iPhone 4. It is possible that Vodafone Germany is simply using the listings as placeholders but Apple also has inventory configurations for the same devices.
Sources close to Apple’s supply chain suggest that the new iPhone, regardless of its name, with boast Apple’s new A5 processor, an 8-megapixel camera and HSPA+ support.
