If you’re a Virgin Media customer with a Sky Movies or Sky Sports subscription, watching the latest blockbuster movies, football matches or Formula 1 races on the go just got a whole lot easier.

Now, you can log into Sky’s official iOS apps with your existing Virgin Media account credentials. The company notes that the same is also true for the Sky Movies website, which should prove useful if you’re an Android user.

With the first match of the Barclays Premier League just around the corner, sports fans should find Virgin’s offering a tad more attractive. In its long-running battle with Sky, every little helps – even if that means offering the channels, content and services of its closest competitor.
