Vimeo’s new price tier brings a huge suite of features for budding businesses

Vimeo is adding a new membership tier to its platform aimed at businesses looking to create high quality video content.

Of course, Vimeo already has a few paid tiers, but those are mainly aimed at helping creators and filmmakers display their work in the best light. The new business tier instead is ‘built to serve the needs of small businesses, startups, agencies, educational institutions, nonprofits and other organizations.’

It starts with connecting businesses with professional creators already on Vimeo’s extensive community. Vimeo will find creators to help you on your next project, or you can just seek inspiration from extant content.

Then there are a suite of tools for marketing and performance: customize your video with brand colors and a logo, for one, or add clickable calls to action to redirect viewers to your a website. You can also embed email capture forms using services like MailChimp, Campaign Monitor, or Constant Contact.

There are a host of new analytics tool on board as well, including insights on performance and where views are coming from. You can even use an engagement graph to see how far into a video users are leaving, for example, and integrate all your data into Google Analytics to see Web and video data together without having to constantly switch tabs.

Members will be able to add up to 10 users to their account to help manage videos or collaborate on new content. They can upload up to 5TB from cloud services like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive and Box to have all the files you need in the same place.

Vimeo sees the business tier as a nearly end-to-end solution for getting businesses the content they need and helping them understand their performance. At $599 per year – with a 30 day trial – it’s not cheap, but it might be a worthwhile investment for business looking to make the big push into video.
