Donald Trump often sounds like an idiot, even to those who support him. He’s also fond of exclamation points, because even in print — he wants us to know he’s yelling. A new Twitter bot changes all of that, and it’s glorious.
‘Unsure Donald Trump’ replaces Trump’s exclamations with a question mark, which changes how you perceive it. Instead of wild, unfounded rhetoric, he sounds a bit introspective and grounded:
Dwyane Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP?

Heroin overdoses are taking over our children and others in the MIDWEST. Coming in from our southern border. We need strong border & WALL?

Will be in Phoenix, Arizona on Wednesday. Changing venue to much larger one. Demand is unreal. Polls looking great? #ImWithYou

What do African-Americans and Hispanics have to lose by going with me. Look at the poverty, crime and educational statistics. I will fix it?

Hillary Clinton only knows how to make a speech when it is a hit on me. No policy, and always very short (stamina). Media gives her a pass?

It’s brilliant. Rather than assume Trump is a blowhard, Unsure DonaldTrump makes it seem like he’s genuinely interested in opening a dialogue with voters. I almost like the guy.
In a crazy election year (seriously, this is the weirdest election since Gore-Bush and the hanging chad) a little comedic relief serves us well.
