The unofficial WWDC app now has transcripts of all session videos

The unofficial WWDC app now has transcripts of all session videos

Apple’s WWDC 2016 session videos now have an unofficial transcript, thanks to a macOS app on GitHub.

The appropriately named ‘WWDC’ is a native app for macOS that  streamed live session videos during WWDC, but may actually be better now that the event is over. Though Apple makes its videos available on the official WWDC website, it only includes the slides from each talk.

In conjuncture with ASCIIwwdc, there’s now a transcript for each session available via the app. Words stream as spoken on the right-hand side of the screen, making it pretty easy to read without diverting attention from the video itself too much. It’s also searchable in case you just want to skip to specific points of interest.

Handy for those who like to read instead of listen, but equally important for those who may have hearing issues. The app is only available via GitHub, and is totally free.
