Twitter and Social Mac Client Eventbox Gets Acquired

eb_appiconMac Twitter Client and Social Aggregator Eventbox has been acquired by Real Mac Software, makers of popular mac apps; Rapidweaver and LittleSnapper.

The acquisition will see the application change name to Socialite and move into RealMac’s array of products. EventBox 1.0, the apps first official public release, will be renamed Socialite.

RealMac is a British company, lead by founder Daniel Counsell and a team of prolific mac programmers. Cosmic Machine, the company behind Eventbox, is founded by student Milen Dzhumerov also based in London.

If you’re concerned about whether you’ll need to purchase the app again when released in November, fret not, you’ll receive a new serial number for Socialite free of charge. Licences for Eventbox are no longer available to buy – however all Socialite betas will be free to use until 1.0 ships in November.
