Twitter opened up its Moments feature to everyone just this fall, but it only worked on the Web. Given Twitter has been a mobile-first platform since the very beginning, leaving mobile devices out of the equation seemed like an odd decision, but that’s now been rectified.
Twitter is opening up Moments creation to Android and iOS today, bringing the tool to a much wider swath of users. To create one, simply find a tweet you’d like to include, tap on the downward facing arrow on the upper right corner, and select “Add to Moment.” Rinse and repeat.
Discover how you can create your own Moment.
You can also search previously liked tweets for other posts to include, and then reorder the tweets as you see fit.
Of course, whether or not they actually use Moments is another matter altogether; the feature has felt largely inconsequential, instead of the game changer it was introduced as over a year ago.
Still, if it has any chance of picking up, it’s now; Twitter has been building momentum with its recent live streaming efforts, and mobile creation is a welcome if overdue inclusion.
