Twitter Blunder Exposes 186 Failed Job Applicants.

Twitter Blunder Exposes 186 Failed Job Applicants.

picture-202Twitter is hiring, check out their jobs page, before you consider applying however you may want to use a temporary/miscellaneous email address. I can guarantee the applicants for their recently announced Business Product Manager position wish they had.

HR manager Krissy Bush accidentally inserted the addresses of 186 hopeful applicants into the CC field rather than BCC field of their email client. This lead to each of them discovering the other 185 disappointed individuals who had been declined.

The most amusing aspect of the entire mishap is the legal disclaimer inserted at the bottom of the email:

This email communication (and any attachments) are confidential and are intended only for the individual(s) or entity named above and others who have been specifically authorized to receive it. If you are not the intended recipient, please do not read, copy, use or disclose the contents of this communication to others. Please notify the sender that you have received this email in error by replying to the email. Please then delete the email and any copies of it. This information may be subject to legal, professional or other privilege or may otherwise be protected by work product immunity or other legal rules.

Right…

Anyhow, Valleywag managed to got their hands on the email, you can see it below (with addresses obscured).
