As many readers of The Next Web have probably noticed over the last week or so, Lawrence and I have been writing about what is widely considered to be the hottest topic in tech right now – location.
We are happy to announce the launch today of TNWLocation, which will be dedicated to covering what we term “the social location graph”, and which Lawrence and I will be co-editors.
Whether it’s covering check-in apps such as Foursquare and Gowalla, or geo API services, or good old Google Maps, we’ll offer a continuous focus on this channel about where this space is today and where it is going.
Before joining The Next Web, Lawrence and I had been co-authoring another location-focused blog called Location Meme. In our time away from writing, Lawrence is the CEO and Founder of ratings site RateItAll as well as new white label check-in app DoubleDutch, and I am a tech (especially geo-tech) marketing consultant.
We plan on bringing you our insights into the market as well as breaking news on startups and major location players. We hope that you’ll join us in this discussion through our comment stream, and if you have some cool location news to share, please email either Lawrence at lawrence@thenextweb.com or myself at chad@thenextweb.com.
