When it comes to dating, looks and personality are both really important, but so too is music taste. Imagine going on a date with your dream guy or girl, only to find out afterwards that their jam is Randy Houser or Darius Rucker. Yeeesh. Mercifully, Tinder now connects with Spotify, letting you see what your potential matches jam to.
This makes it easy to avoid proud fans of country music, Nickelback, and any other musical howlers. It also lets you identify the potential matches with whom you’ve got favorite artists in common.
And don’t worry. If you have a guilty-pleasure, you’ll be able to hide it from view. Because what’s online dating without selectively representing who you are?
This feature has already been available on Bumble for some time. On Tinder, it comes with one key difference: You can highlight one song you love on your profile.
Tinder and Spotify call this your “anthem”, which is pretty apt, as it’s supposed to be the song that encapsulates who you are as a person. You can check out a promo video for the feature below.

This feature will launch today in all the areas where Spotify is available.
