This bizarre livestream has thousands of viewers and nobody knows why

Imagine a few thousand people in a room together, watching a random video, without any idea how they got there.

That’s exactly what’s happing on YouTube right now. The website started actively recommending a seemingly random live stream to its users, with many flocking to it as a result.

The Jackson Hole Town Square stream is a live stream of a particularly uninteresting crossing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It’s currently early in the morning and not a lot of things are happening in the place 10,100 people call their home.

Some of the more exciting things that have happened in the last 10 minutes have been a small dog crossing the street and a car standing still on the middle of the road for no particular reason.

There was also this guy, that tried to hail a taxi but got denied. He’s been standing around for a few minutes like this.

The video is joined by a live chat box where viewers are left confused about how they ended up there. It’s currently going crazy with people discussing the events and trying out commands like ‘/cam 3’, even though they don’t actually do anything.

I’m excited to see if anyone watching lives in the village, and turns up to the webcam. That’s when it’s really going to get fun. I guess.
