This kid is a genius and his monster trap will absolutely blow your mind [video]

Kids say and do the darndest things, don’t they? When faced with the possibility of a monster invasion, what did this young man named Audri do? He didn’t run and hide, he made his own rube goldberg monster trap.

It’s elaborate, yet effective. My favorite part of the video is how he explains what a rube goldberg machine is and how he’s projecting his success/failure ratio before he even takes it for a spin.

My hat goes off to this kid and I’m reminded that there may indeed be hope for the future of the United States of America:
