This Instagram font generator creates the perfect Valentine’s love letter, or ransom note

This Instagram font generator creates the perfect Valentine’s love letter, or ransom note

Writing love letters is hard. Sending ransom notes is even harder.

No matter what your intended use, Type to Design has you covered.

The free Web application allows users to type a brief message to their special, or not so special, someone and then converts the typed letters into beautiful letterforms from 36 Days of Type, a sort of showcase for beautifully designed letters and numbers.

Once complete, the user is left with a visual image of their typed message that looks, well, a lot like a ransom note.

If you want to tweak individual images, and you probably will, just click the refresh icon that appears over it. From there, you’ll be met with options ranging from beautifully ornate, to “O” shaped donuts.

When designing from the heart sometimes, a middle finger is a lot more appropriate than elegant “I,” we get it.

Once you settle on a finished design, the apps creators Nina Sans, Rafa Goicoechea and Victor Bregante encourage you to upload the results to Instagram by clicking on the button at the right of each page.

You can also download your image for, well, whatever.
