Photoblog Someone Once Told Me hit its 1000th post today with an image of internet entrepreneur Jason Calacanis.
An under-appreciated blog, it’s based around the beautifully simple idea of showcasing images of people holding up handwritten cards that quote something important that someone once told them.
Each post is accompanied by the story behind the quote, often with an accompanying audio or video clip. Sometimes funny, sometimes sad but always inspiring, the daily blog has built up a cult following since its launch in 2006.
London-based journalist Mario Cacciottolo started the blog on a whim and only ever intended to run it for a year. As it turned out, plenty of people wanted their photos featured on the site and Mario has traveled the world photographing them, in addition accepting submissions from readers.
We’d like to congratulate Mario on reaching this milestone and recommend that you add Someone Once Told Me to your RSS reader for a daily treat. You can see Jason Calacanis’ contribution (complete with audio clip of the man himself explaining it) here.
