ThinkUp, the social media tool which we called “your own personal social media guru“, now has features that make it handier for tracking your followers.
It’s added search today, so you can run search queries across social media networks to see which of your followers on Twitter are “tech writers” or who on Instagram has ? in their bio.
The search feature is handy for sorting through your followers, particularly as Twitter doesn’t index user bios. Other services like FollowerWonk offer similar functionality with advanced features restricted to the paid plan.
ThinkUp is also getting Instagram support today.
That comes along with new insights that provide stats like who your biggest admirer was last week, based on likes, or which of your friends’ photos you liked this time last year (sort of like a reverse TimeHop).
Anil Dash, co-founder of ThinkUp, also revealed that the service is finally out of beta. He says it has “found its niche as a tool for people who want super powers that let them see into their social networks.”
I like ThinkUp’s approach: Providing interesting social media data rather than cold hard numbers and graphs. It provides a different perspective and keeps you coming back for the latest insights.
ThinkUp costs $5 per month if you want to connect one account per social network or $10 per month if you want to connect multiple from the same network.
