“The Bible for all Chefs” is now on the iPad

Inkling, the SF based company known for digitizing college textbooks for the iPad, has teamed up with The Culinary Institute of America to release The Professional Chef, an iPad version of the culinary textbook that’s been called “the bible for all chefs.”

From the video below, The Professional Chef looks quite impressive with search, social networking, bookmarks, video tutorials, smart navigation and stunning photos. While the 36-chapter app will run you a hefty $50, it’s a good deal compared to the hardcover version, which costs $75 and is a chunky 1,232 pages.

Watch the video here. (I should prepare you to watch out for the creepy hands…)

Buy the app here for $49.99. [A free chapter of The Pro Chef, as well as individual chapters for $2.99, are also available inside the free Inkling application on your iPad.]
