Wibbitz, the company that launched in July with a plan to turn text articles into interactive video clips, has rolled out a minor update to its iOS app to include a new Markets Update section.

The Markets Update feature (which will be user-customizable in the future) uses the same technology as the rest of the platform to automatically merge text, infographics, videos and other news from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), NASDAQ and global commodities markets into one easily-digestible 45 second video clip.

Although likely of little interest to people with no need to keep a close eye on the financial markets, the addition can only add to the usefulness of the app in giving a quick at-a-glance overview of everything you need to know, and little more.
