TechStar’s alum, Lua, just raised $2.5M and is launching its mobile workforce service this fall

Lua, a suite of digital tools that powers teams to communicate and collaborate on the go, has just raised $2.5 million led by IA Ventures. This follows the company’s TechStar’s NY demo day back in June, where the Lua must have left a good impression on investors.

Lua’s service will be launching in fall of this year, but the company has already secured partners in entertainment, hospitality, retail and sports while in private beta. According to co-founder Eli Bronner, “any mobile workforce with professionals in the field and professionals in the office with a constant need to connect can use Lua. We see every business becoming more and more nimble and mobile.”

The service, which you can catch a glimpse of in the pictures below, is flexible enough to work with teams of three people to hundreds of thousands — all due to its relatively simple, 3-part structure: a team member directory, messaging and automatically synced documents.
