Techmeme, the curated aggregator that tracks the tech world’s trending news stories, is looking for a new logo through 99designs.

The contest has received 68 entries so far with 16 hours left to go, and according to Techmeme founder Gabe Rivera’s Twitter account, it may be extended for another day.

According to the brief, Techmeme isn’t looking for a total departure. They want to retain the feel and some of the elements of their current logo.

It’ll be interesting to see which design wins, and whether it is adopted by Techmeme — as Rivera indicated, it’s not certain that any of the logos will definitely be used.
