Tado, the Munich-based maker of a smart central heating system not totally unlike NEST, is introducing the world to a brand-new follow-up product called Tado Cooling.

However, rather than going down traditional funding conduits the company is taking to Kickstarter, and it will begin production if its goal of $150,000 is reached within 30 days. At the time of writing, it’s already creeping towards the $23,000 mark after less than a day, so things are looking good.

While its original product was aimed more at those who live in slightly cooler climes, this fella is looking to help those who live in warmer regions by transforming any AC unit into, well, a smart AC unit. One you can control from your phone.
