T-Mobile rumors abound today as we get closer to the Un-Carrier event on November 10th.
Evan Blass (@evleaks), a seasoned blogger with a history of providing mobile-related leaks, posted on Twitter this morning that the Un-Carrier event was set to announce unlimited high speed data for video services such as Netflix and HBO.

Between 2012 and 2014, Blass was responsible for major leaks, often months before the device’s release date, detailing hardware specifics, unseen photos and information for a variety of smartphones, tablets, laptops, and LG’s foray into a WebOS-powered TV.

If the leak is correct, which I believe it to be, it would add HBO and Netflix to the lineup of data-exempt apps T-Mobile announced at previous events, including services like Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.
His reputation is spectactular, and there’s really no reason not to believe him.

For a company with over 60 million subscribers, the significance of providing free access to one service while charging customers (on limited data plans) for others can’t be overstated. For example, Spotify and Apple Music are the two largest players in the streaming music space, and the data exemption includes over two dozen more, but leaving smaller startups out of the mix doesn’t exactly level the playing field.
No matter who you believe there are some powerful net neutrality implications that are mostly getting glossed over in the speculation.
