In case you haven’t heard of StyleCaster, the 4-year old New York City based media company is an online community for the latest in fashion, shopping, beauty and all things culturally cool. Want to know which stylist is your sartorial soulmate? Need help picking out jewelry? Lingerie? Or just want to know the weather? The stylish social center wants to let you know.

In August, we asked StyleCaster CEO Ari Goldberg for his top 10 people to follow on Twitter. Today, StyleCaster is running a high-gloss editorial and photo shoot featuring the “IT Kids” of 2011, a.k.a., the most influential and entrepreneurial guys and girls in the InfoTech space this year. StyleCaster styled, shot and interviewed the founders of Thrillist, Gilt, Buddy Media, Turntable, BirchBox, and many other Silicon Alley favorites (21 in total) in order to show off techie trends to the style community.

We’ve picked out a few of our favorites below (and the girls from Of A Kind above). Click on the link at the bottom for the full story.

StyleCaster picked Maxim Technology Editor Seth Porges, who recently launched the fashion-focused app Cloth, and is notorious for getting Chipotle to changes its menu merely with some savvy social media skills.

“I got the CEO of Chipotle to change all of their menus to reflect the presence of bacon in the pinto beans. I got death threats and hate mail over that from people who told me I needed to stop whining. If you ask me, they should be thanking me for letting them know where they can get free bacon!”

Ara Katz brought celebrity endorsements into the e-commerce space through BeachMint. On the BeachMint strategy she says, “Good storytelling with an authentic voice is what builds trust and incentivizes engagement so that our customers want to come back and shop each month.”

TechStars’ Managing Director David Tisch is a prominent NYC investor in over 40 companies, but I’ve only seen him sport a suit once. He discovered the GroupMe guys while watching a football game with them at a pub. On his natural style, Tisch says, “I really am myself and I don’t try to have a public persona so the person people meet publicly is totally me. Our brand is incredibly open, and I try to emulate that. People know me as a really honest guy in a TechStars hat and hoodie.”

Last up is Thrillist Founder and NYC investor Ben Lerer. 2011 was the year for Thrillist to give guys accessibility to style. Here’s a little holiday time cheer from Lerer, “We’ve actually been getting pretty nostalgic recently, remembering the early days. One of our favorite stories was hiring our first editor – whom we met in the back of a bar and submitted his writing samples on a cocktail napkin. His name is David Blend and he’s still with us, serving as our executive editor. Love that guy. And his beard.”
