StartupBus has been delivering epic road journeys for startups and developers across the US and Europe since 2009, and now the initiative is hitting Africa for the first time.
From 17 to 21 November, StartupBus will roll across African soil starting in Harare in Zimbabwe, before ending up in Cape Town, South Africa. Out of more than 200 applicants, 15 African and 15 international entrepreneurs were selected to participate in this journey and will be accompanied by 10 mentors, as well as members of the media.
During the trip, the participants will conceive, build, and launch their startup with a focus on healthcare, mobile and energy. Richard Branson will attend the final pitch of StartupBus Africa in Cape Town via Google Hangouts.
