Last year, the world got to see the long-awaited 7th instalment of one of the most beloved sci-fi series there is: Star Wars.
It had been 11 years since Episode III: Revenge of the Sith was released, which made fans around the world wonder what a Star Wars movie made with modern technology would look like.
Being a 3D release and filled to the brim with special effects, the movie didn’t disappoint the fans who were most concerned with seeing a visual spectacle.
LucasArts’ own VFX and animation studio Industrial Light & Magic has made a trailer showing exactly how they pieced together some of the scenes from last year’s movie.
It’s particularly impressive to see how the many layers of effects combine, showcasing the amazing amount of detail that went into creating the biggest film of 2015.
