Squarespace customers can now get an email address using their own web domain for $3 per user per month. The service comes through a new deal with email platform Titan, the two companies said on Tuesday.
Called Essential Email by Titan, it gives users an address such as hello@yourbusiness.com, plus an inbox, calendar, and contacts. It works in a web browser and through desktop and mobile apps.
Each inbox comes with 10GB of storage and up to 10 extra addresses, such as sales@ or info@, according to a Squarespace blog post.
It also has two-factor sign-in and lets users schedule or undo sent emails. Customers buy and manage it from the same dashboard as their domain.
Anyone with a domain bought from Squarespace, or linked to it, can sign up. The idea is that a new business can register a domain, set up email, and build a website in one place.
“A professional email address is one of the first things that makes an idea feel real,” said Kevin Doerr, Squarespace’s president.
The service is live in the US, the UK, Australia, and Canada, and the firm plans to add more countries over the next few months.
Titan was founded in 2018 by Indian entrepreneur Bhavin Turakhia, who also started web hosting group Directi and work chat app Flock.
Rather than selling directly, it reaches customers through domain registrars, web hosts, and website builders. Through those partners, it is offered with more than 40% of new domain names registered worldwide, the company said.
“Most email platforms were built for large enterprises, not small businesses,” said Turakhia, Titan’s chief executive.
WordPress owner Automattic invested $30 million in Titan in 2021, valuing it at $300 million.
Squarespace, which was taken private by investment firm Permira in 2024, bought Google’s domains business the year before. Its rival Wix cut a fifth of its staff in May, citing AI competition and a strong shekel.
Other firms selling tools to small businesses are also reorganising. In August, Intuit said it would report Mailchimp separately.
