The team behind Sold, an app that was supposed to make selling things easier, is closing the service and joining Dropbox.

Beginning today, Sold will no longer accept new items. Users with existing items in the system will receive instructions about how to finalize their transactions.

Sold offered a pricing calculator to help users estimate how much their items would sell for. It then took care of selling, shipping and payment in an effort to make the experience as painless as possible. The iOS app first launched in April, followed by an Android version in September.
