Snapchat is receiving an election day update today with a few new features, not the least of which is support for its new Spectacles video-recording glasses.
Mashable spotted the support hidden in the “My account” section of the app, under a list of features. The page links you to Spectacles.com, but the devices still show up as ‘landing soon,’ so this update appears to just be a preparatory one.
In other news, the app includes a few simple UI and feature updates. From the changelog:
- Press and hold on a Snap to send it to a friend!
- Tap the left side of the screen to go back.
- Use your outward-facing camera and tap to try World Lenses
- Tap on your face while video chatting to use lenses.
The update is available on iOS now. No word on an Android analog at the moment.
