Remember when Snapchat bought Bitstrips a few months ago? Well, now we’re seeing the fruits of that purchase.

If you’re not familiar, Bitstrips makes cartoon-style avatars that you can put in various comic strip-like situations, and now that includes Snapchat. You can now link up your Snapchat account and the Bitmoji app to send personalized emoji based on characters you’ve created in chats, or use them as stickers for your snaps.

Moreover, you can also use ‘friendmoji’ if your contacts have also linked their Bitmoji accounts with Snapchat.

The company made a neat little comic explaining how it all works, so I’ll let it do the talking:

The feature is rolling out to Snapchat now.
