Snapchat appears to be down for some users in Europe, Australia and the US today. The error message reads “Could not refresh. Please try again later” as the app is unable to load new posts.
The ephemeral messaging service acknowledged the issue, assuring users it’s working on a fix.

However, some folks can’t really handle life without Snapchat, even if it is just temporary.

Update (16:45 GMT):
While the app is still down for some users, a Snapchat representative has told TNW:
We are working hard to solve this issue as quickly as possible and are very sorry for the inconvenience this is causing our community and partners.
Update 2 (22:49 GMT):
Snapchat has sent a second statement, confirming resolution:
We’re happy to share that as of 12:06 pm PT, the outage that prevented some Snapchatters from posting and viewing Snaps and Stories have been resolved. We apologize for the frustration this caused, and we are working hard to prevent future outages.
