SlideRocket releases a host of free design resources to help “Say No to PowerPoint”

In case you’ve missed the memo, this is Say No To PowerPoint Week. In honor of this, the good folks over at SlideRocket have released some design resources to help you create better, more engaging presentations.

If you’re not familiar with SlideRocket, it’s a presentation app that features the ability to do truly engaging work by adding rich media such as videos, live widgets and more. Understanding, though, that not everyone has an eye for design, the team has put together some great looking presentations that you can use for free with your SlideRocket account.

Don’t have a SlideRocket account yet? You’ll need to go here and snag one. There’s another benefit to this, as well. Every day this week, the team will be giving away a SlideRocket Pro account in celebration of the week’s festivities.

The team has done some great work with the new Content Gallery. You’ll see audio and visual elements, creative data presentations and it’s all wrapped into new themes that are easily customizable for your own use. The team has done some research with the work of molecular biologist Dr. John Medina and has put his findings into practice.

Understanding that we retain more information when a presentation is engaging, SlideRocket is hoping that it’s new presentation tools and Content Gallery will help you to say hello to Presentations 2.0. Want to check out the work for yourself? You can find SlideRocket’s presentation that covers all of the details here. Oh, and bear in mind that all SlideRocket presentations will work just fine on your HTML5-capable mobile device.
