Skype updates its video messaging app Qik so you can actually save your videos now

Skype’s video messaging app Qik got an update today that should make anyone that wants to archive their best messaging videos happy.

Updated today for Android and Windows Phone (an iOS update is expected in the next few days), the latest version of Qik now allows you to save your videos to your phone after sharing them with friends.

qik3To save the videos, just tap on them in the messaging timeline and choose to save it to your camera roll or you can post it to another chat.

Skype also stated that there is a “holiday surprise” in the app that will appear in the next day or two. At that time you can shake your phone and something will happen.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
