Need to get some work done but don’t want to miss a YouTube livestream? Sideplayer’s got you covered.

This handy Chrome extension lets you watch YouTube videos in a pop-up that floats above your current tab. Install it, click the ‘Play in Sideplayer’ button beneath any YouTube clip and you’re good to go.

Sideplayer is always on top of whichever tab you're on

While the pop-up shows up at the top right corner of screen by default, you can drag and move it anywhere you like, and even tug at a corner to resize it.

What’s especially neat is that Sideplayer stays on top even when you switch tabs. It’s great for following live events while browsing related news and for catching up on videos while studying, working or messaging friends.
