Shutl adds six more cities to super-fast UK delivery service

Shutl, the super-fast online delivery startup, has announced today that it is expanding its service to cover six more cities to in the UK.

Online shoppers in Aberdeen, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and Liverpool will soon enjoy the company’s super-fast service which can deliver online goods within 90 minutes of purchase.

The company – which featured on our list of European startups to watch in 2010 – allows online shoppers to select whether they would like to receive their order within 90 minutes (“Shutl Now”) or delivered within a 1 hour window of their choice (“Shutl Later”).

Shutl doesn’t provide a physical delivery service. Instead its technology aggregates capacity across local courier companies into a single web-service which retailers integrate into their e-commerce platforms to offer enhanced delivery options to their customers.

News of these these new locations comes hot on the heels of the company’s expansion into Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh in August. Shutl will now serve 11 cities, which equates to an impressive 40% of the UK’s online shoppers.
