Samsung Galaxy Tab To Be Announced August 11th?

Samsung Galaxy Tab To Be Announced August 11th?

Samsung have been quietly working on a new tablet called the Galaxy Tab, we know this after its South African team tweeted a shot of the device back in June.

The Android-powered tablet is to feature a 7″ screen and that’s about all we know about it. Luckily, we could be getting a whole lot more information on Samsung’s tablet come August 11th, after the electronics giant started to send out official invites to one its events in New York on that day.

As you can see from the invite itself, Samsung are intent on announcing and showcasing some its new products on August 11th. We believe Samsung will be using this event to make the Galaxy Tab official, getting a head-start on its competitors including HP, Microsoft and LG, whilst taking the game to Apple and the iPad.

With all signs pointing to a launch in Q3, Samsung will hope the buzz generated from the announcement will help them enjoy good sales over the Christmas period, a time that many analysts predict will see huge demand for the iPad also.
