T-Mobile has officially announced that its new Samsung Galaxy S smartphone will be released in the US. Having enjoyed success in Europe, the wireless carrier set up a new website that confirmed all would be revealed at the end of an ever decreasing timer.
That’s right, news announced using a countdown.
Unwired Review claims it should carry the same features as it’s UK counterpart with “a 4 inch Super AMOLED display, 1GHz processor, a 5 megapixel camera capable of HD video capture, at least 8GB of internal memory, and Android 2.1 with TouchWiz UI 3.0.”
It is unclear from the pictures whether the handset will ship with the shown apps pre-loaded or if they will be available in the Android Market, but CPS is claiming that all the apps will come pre-loaded with the phone. We should have had some “more exciting news” from T-Mobile once the countdown reached zero but nothing has been announced just yet.
We will update when we know more.
