Salesforce offering $1 million prize at its inaugural Dreamforce hackathon for the best mobile app

Salesforce announced today a $1 million prize for the next “killer” mobile app created at its Dreamforce conference. The company is hosting its first hackathon and developers can register today for a chance at the monumental prize. All entries must be submitted by November 20 by 6:00pm PST.

The $1 million prize will be awarded to one team, with four other prizes also being given out, with monetary values ranging from $5,000 to $50,000 in increasing order. Judges will be evaluating developer apps by innovation, business value, user experience, and of course, based on its integration with the Salesforce Platform.
