Back in March, Rocket League — the futuristic soccer game featuring cars instead of whining sacks of flesh — teased a new basketball mode that hoops fans pretty much went nuts over.

Today, they dropped a trailer on us for just what that might look like, as well as a release date — April 26.
The downloadable add-on will be available for free and includes a new basketball-themed arena and a few other gameplay tweaks — like the net, which is now a ramp, and a net, but also a ramp. If you’re willing to pony up a cool $1.99, you’ll also get NBA-licensed flags for each of its 30 teams.
After going from soccer, to hockey and now to basketball, I’m really curious to see what Rocket League is working on next; I’m also terrified at the proposition of all the flying that the new mode is going to require.
