Today, FastCoDesign posted a series of animated GIFs, which capture Manhattan born Director Stanley Kubrick’s most epic scenes.
We’re big fans of Kubrick’s here at The Next Web so we couldn’t help reposting a few of them. For a walk down memory lane of his disturbing cult films such as Dr. Strangelove, The Shining and A Clockwork Orange enjoy these wicked animated GIFs dubbed “cinematographs,” created by Gustaf Mantel. Having literally just finished Lolita, one of his films from the 1960s, I’m disappointed there are no GIFs of that sordid love affair.
Dr. Strangelove
“Mr. President, I’m not saying we wouldn’t get our hair mussed. But I do say no more than ten to twenty million killed, tops.”
2001: A Space Odyssey:
“Look Dave, I can see you’re really upset about this.”
Clockwork Orange
“It’s funny how the colors of the real world only seem really real when you viddy them on the screen.”
The Shining
“Here’s Johnny!”
