The rumored Apple smartwatch, one of the most-anticipated products of the year, might be just around the corner. According to Recode, the company is planning to unveil a wrist-worn device at next month’s iPhone launch event, which is expected to take place on September 9.

Recode’s John Paczkowski reports the device will tap into Apple’s new fitness and connected home platforms. The HealthKit and HomeKit SDKs were announced at WWDC in June, but the company has yet to show off its master plan behind the two frameworks.
