Ready for Mobile World Congress? We are! Here’s where you can find us.

Ready for Mobile World Congress? We are! Here’s where you can find us.

Next week (actually, this weekend), the madness that is Mobile World Congress kicks off in Barcelona once again.

The horrible huge event brings together many of the leading mobile players to the same city for multiple days, from the world’s largest mobile phone and tablet manufacturers to telecom operators, trade associations and a host of content and service providers, major brands, app developers and network infrastructure and mobile technology firms.

The Next Web will be there too, evidently.

Matt Brian, our fearless mobile editor, will be roaming the congress floor(s), exhibition areas, keynote rooms and many press conferences to pick up on any interesting news announcements, interesting new products or exec statements, together with our young scribe Nick Summers.

I’ll also be there, although I’ll desperately be trying to avoid the actual congress and press room frenzy as much as humanly possible. Instead, my goal is to meet (mostly European) mobile startups and do numerous video or audio interviews with executives and interesting individuals.

I’m probably going to regret writing this, but I may still have some open slots to meet with folks. In fact, I’m considering leaving the afternoon of the last day of the conference (28 Feb) completely open to take meetings somewhere, but best follow my Twitter feed for updates on that.

We’ll be attending a bunch of side events as well, including Mobile Sunday 2013, the Mobile Premier Awards (where I’m one of the judges for the global mobile app competition just to annoy Milo), Wayra’s Demo Day and TechCrunch Mobile Barcelona, among others, so perhaps see you there?

Bring your business cards, but much more importantly, bring a good story.

You can contact us via firstname@thenextweb.com or ping us over on Twitter (find links to our respective profiles above).

Hasta pronto.
