LinkedIn has introduced an update to Pulse that brings a fresh card-based design and smarter news aggregation based on your LinkedIn activity.
Depending on who you’ve connected with on LinkedIn (as well as what information you’ve filled out on your profile), Pulse will now curate news based on your interests. The aim is to provide you with news related to your industry — if you’re listed as a PR professional and follow a bunch of tech bloggers, your Pulse feed will be heavily laced with tech news.
Additionally, Pulse will learn your taste over time; swiping left on an article dismisses it from your feed, which helps Pulse learn what you’re interested in. Pulse users can also swipe right to save an article to read later on, or follow the author of an article they enjoyed.
If you don’t follow any publishers on LinkedIn, Pulse will feed you info based on the industry you have listed on your LinkedIn profile. If your LinkedIn connections are mentioned in the news, you can choose to receive timely alerts.
Pulse is available for both iOS and Android.
