Following Product Hunt’s expansion into games, it’s adding yet another vertical: books.
The site is today getting a dedicated section for books that shows a feed of new and undiscovered titles,, similar to the other verticals of the site.
Books uses a standalone voting system that’s separate from the ‘tech’ board, just like games.
In keeping with the history of Product Hunt, the new section started out life as an email newsletter before expanding into the fully-fledged vertical today.
It’s easy to imagine the company expanding into a lot of unique verticals — I’m holding out for Music — but it’ll be interesting to see where it puts the line.
The site, which launched in 2014, still requires an invitation to post comments which Recode recently labeled ‘elitist.’ That said, existing members with comment access are able to invite their friends.
