Over the weekend, millions of women united to stroll the streets of various cities across the globe to protest the recent inauguration of President Donald Trump. But while the Women’s March certainly made a splash in the media, Pornhub reveals it wasn’t all that great for porn traffic.

According to the numbers, the website saw an eight-percent decrease in traffic throughout the US compared to an average Saturday – and the adult content heavyweight speculates the Women’s March was to blame.

    Check out the stats:

Given that earlier this month Pornhub’s yearly review showed female porn-lovers make for a quarter of all visitors to its platform, the XXX giant anticipated women’s involvement in the protests would likely lead to a temporary drop in traffic.

The data suggests the prediction wasn’t far from the truth. According to the statistics, cities with higher attendee turnouts exhibited larger declines in traffic.

Washington, DC and New York City – both of which attracted around half a million attendees – hit their negative peaks at around 19 percent decrease in traffic compared to a normal day. Los Angeles appears to have drawn the horniest protesters, reaching its negative traffic drop climax at around 22 percent.

As you probably guessed the traffic downturn mostly lasted for a brief window of time during the day, eventually starting to regain traction as the evening approached. You get the picture.

Taking into account most of these women took it to the streets to fight for their rights, it’s hardly surprizing porn wasn’t on their mind – I know I wouldn’t be all that stoked about smut flicks if someone was trying to make abortion less accessible.
