facebookA plane crash in Palo Alto has lead to a power outage at Facebook headquarters.

An update on Facebook’s official wall claims power is out across Palo Alto and that although Facebook.com is unaffected, most of its staff have been left powerless.

The crash itself has left a number of houses on fire and there are sadly a reported three deaths.

The one bit of good news so far is that while some of the wreckage landed on a day care center, apparently there were no children in the building at the time, according to KTVU.

Update:

It has since been reported that the three who lost their lives were executives at Tesla Motoring company.
