When I first started using PicPlz for Android there were a couple of things that I didn’t necessarily dig. The first of these, the inability to remove location data from photos, was fixed in the last update. Now, according to the PicPlz blog, the latest update fixes my next gripe — notifications.
Previously, if you turned on a notification, you’d get both an email and a message to your phone. I asked Dalton Caldwell if that could be changed and it appears that my wish has been granted. Now, email and push notifications are separate from one another and PicPlz continues to win my heart.
Beyond the notifactions, though, the team has added some other features:
- Find other picplz users via your phone contact list
- Better navigation when browsing, added Home and Refresh menu buttons
- Better password recovery process on Android
- Speed improvements
If you’ve not yet tried PicPlz, or if you’ve been looking for a great photo sharing/filtering app for your Android device, you need to give PicPlz for Android a shot. It’s on my short list of must-have applications and it should be on yours as well.
