Google is paying quiet homage to Queen Elizabeth II today with a ‘PegMa’am’ icon taking the place of the regular Street View stick man in Google Maps.
At 17:30BST today, the Queen will become the longest reigning monarch in the UK, having held the position for more than 63 and a half years. The customized PegMa’am only appears around Buckingham Palace in London, though.

The Beeb says that the Queen will be having “a normal working day” and there will be “no special celebration”.
There will, however, be a four-gun salute from HMS Belfast to celebrate day number 23,226 on the throne. So perhaps not exactly a normal Wednesday.
