PayPal is rolling out a completely overhauled version of its apps today, which give it a modern look, as well as some handy new features.

Available to download for Android through APKMirror now, or on all devices later today, the update offers users a simplified way to make the most of using PayPal in stores, when making transfers and even just to manage account settings.

While there are changes under the hood that aim to greatly improve users’ experience, the most noticeable difference is the UI. It’s sleek and stylish with new fonts and iconography, and a much tidier layout.

From the home screen, it’s much easier to check your balance and then in one tap, manage your payments and settings. The Activity Hub is efficient and allows you to check all of your past transactions for the last three years. Android users will also now be able to authenticate payments using their fingerprint.

There are dedicated buttons on the home screen for sending an receiving money, plus a new section dedicated to using PayPal to pay in stores, managing loyalty cards and even ordering food through the app.

PayPal has also made it possible to add credit cards issued from numerous countries, instead of just the one where the account is registered.

Beyond the redesign, PayPal has introduced a new platform that enables it to localize the app for the 145 different markets it’s available in. The app will be localized in 26 markets with support for 17 different languages at launch, with more to follow.

As virtual payments continue to overthrow cash, PayPal has become an increasingly important player in people’s financial lives. To that end, it’s no surprise that the company is also exploring the possibilities of moving beyond transactions into money management for its users.
