ParkJockey rides into London to ease the pain of finding a place to leave your car

ParkJockey rides into London to ease the pain of finding a place to leave your car

ParkJockey, a service for finding a parking spot with the minimum of fuss, has launched in London today with the promise of cutting down the hunt for a vacant spot to two minutes or less.

Available as a native iOS or Android app, the service lets users search for nearby spaces, compare prices, and then book and pay for the spot all within the app. Additionally, ParkJockey can also sync with your calendar and can estimate driving time and things like the walking distance from where you’ll be leaving your car to your next appointment.

While it’s by no means the first service to aim at removing pain from parking in London – AppyParking and ParkAtMyHouse are but two alternatives – there aren’t too many that boast a round the clock support service, as ParkJockey claims. For launch, ParkJockey has lined up 5,500 spaces on its system, but it hopes to expand this to 50,000 locations by the end of the year.
