Openbucks: Giving 97 million Americans without credit cards another option to pay

Marc Rochman, the founder and chief executive of Openbucks told me an interesting statistic; 97million Americans don’t have access to a credit card either because they are too young, bad credit or otherwise.

His startup Openbucks is trying to give this demographic another solution to purchase goods online by enabling them to buy, with cash, a pre existing gift card from high-street retailers and through the Openbucks platform enable them to pay online for goods and services. I asked Marc if this service was truly needed seeing as the future of payments is digital with services like PayPal and Square providing digital payments platforms- you can see his answer in the video below.
